EMC Wednesday said it’s buying Configuresoft, the makers of server configuration, change and compliance management software, on undisclosed terms. The transaction is expected to close next month and have little impact on EMC’s results this year. EMC traced the acquisition to its year-old OEM relationship with the 10-year-old privately held Colorado concern which resulted in EMC Server Configuration Manager and EMC Configuration Analytics Manager, reportedly virtualization boosters.
